statistics report
Sophie:
2'5" or 29" tall 25th percentile
17lbs. 3 oz 10th percentile
head circumfrance is in the 10th percentile too.
She's a pip squeak!
Here's another interesting statistic:
140 medical related appointments since she was born.
I counted the appointments out of curiosity. Whew. No wonder I am tired.

3-2-1.....
We have "lift off"!!!! Our little monkey has taken her first official steps. We had physical therapy today for our regularly scheduled appointment. I've been working hard on Sophie and her walking. She hasn't really taken to it too much! She as weak little ankles and curls her toes at the same time. So, Becky our therapist says, "Why don't you just put some shoes on her and see what happens?"
DUH
All I have heard is "let them go barefoot!!" "barefoot is best", etc.... I THOUGHT I was doing the "right" thing. I should have known better. Sophie goes against the grain with everything, why not this!!! Thank God we have professionals that come in and keep mama from totally screwing the kid up!!!! Well, we put shoes on the little thing and she took a very tentative 1/2 step to mama. "Ahhhhh" I said! Thinking it might be a fluke.
Well, tonight Daddy came home and we sat on the floor to play "pass the Sophie". aka..walking training. I planted her feet firmly and gave daddy the special toy for bait. AND...Off she took...like 4 or 5 steps to get to daddy.
I can't wait to see if she does it tomorrow!!!! : )
