Helllooooo Out there!!!!!!

Our Christmas Tree, Our Christmas Tree....

Yeah, I'm wearing a bow...so what do you wanna make of it???? Huh???

Well, we are back! Online, that is!! The sis's internet was protected and they couldn't remember the code!!! So I've been out of touch. Here's the updates!

Jason-diagnosed with mono, whiched caused an enlarged spleen and a fever that has lasted 10 days so far. I asked him who he'd been smooching!!! : )

Holidays: Visited with the sis and decided to go back for a few more days!!! Had a great time with the women of my family!!! Sophie played with her cousin Sarah, and I have decided that 5 year olds are the best baby sitters in the world!!!!

Sophie's Health: She's a champ!!!! Healthy as a horse.....working on more and more tummy time. (she still hates it!) Making more vocal sounds and we started cereal and bananas a couple of days ago after mommy was bitten one too many times while nursing!!! By the way, did I mention Sophie has cut her two bottom front teeth. OUCH!! She now roles over regularly. Also, we think she may be coming out of the milk allergy. She hasn't thrown up in a LONG time, and mommy has begun introducing cheese, milk, and butter back in her diet with no adverse reaction. YES!!!!!!

Well, we are on day 3 of hubby ailment. I finally convinced him to take his temp today. He was 101.5. That's AFTER 2 days of no work sickies. I can't imagine what he was earlier in the week. I have gone into warp drive since this illness. Cleaning, appointments, exercise, therapy, medications, cooking meals (separate because I can't eat cheese and that's all he wants), laundry, christmas shopping, wrapping, bath time (for baby and hubby), and I could go on and on....

Unfortunately, the "going on and on" part is starting to tucker out. I can't keep up!!! I'm only one person after all. He even goes to bed BEFORE the babe, 7:00 tonight. I feel so very bad that hubby is so darn sick. I know that stinks...but I fear, that my battery is going to wear out in time to get sick for all my family gatherings.

Here's what I wonder: Is there someone in the world, who's job it is to come in and rescue moms and wives in distress. Sort of like "supernanny", only "superwifey"?? If not, I think that should be a fox reality show. Seriously?? Come in, take over the chores...make a schedule...allow mommy to go to the doctor or get her hair cut. Cook a meal that mommy can eat at home and she didn't have to make it first, change the diapers and administer the medications....Stretch and do therapy for the kid....Ahhhhhhh the life!!!! I'll tell you what, if there is ever a time where I need to find a new job, maybe I'll create that company! "Mommies to the Rescue of Mommies". Now I'd watch THAT reality show!!!

flu fears....yikes!

So, hubby came home today, cranked all the heat in the house to crazy heights and sat on the couch shivering. I had an appointment at the chiropractor to fix my "post baby delivery" back and had to get that done, so I took off immediately, not even thinking about it. I came back an hour later to find hubby and baby curled up on the couch snoozing away. At first I thought, "Ahhhh, look at them! Finally, Daddy/daughter bonding!" Then the horror struck me....as I touched my hubby on the forehead, he was on fire, and there was the little angel rolled up RIGHT beside is mouth and head....

"NO, NO, NO!!!!" I thought to myself!!!! On any normal day, I'd come home to find Sophie in the swing or exersaucer....but not today. Of all days, she was cuddled close to daddy. Despite my urge to scream profanity and spray them both with lysol, I bit my tongue, told hubby to go to bed, and sat up with the little one for the next 6 hours.

Did I mention she is teething too????

Well, here's our first real test of the cold and flu season. Please everyone, do the no sickness for sophie dance!!!! It is not good for her to get those kind of illnesses due to her already precarious head pressure situation. Knowing my holiday tradition, I will most likely get sick right when its my turn to see family and friends.

Anyone have suggestions on how to fend of the yucky cold and flu BEFORE the kiddo gets sick???
